Esteban’s - Preservation, from IR, out on 7 September via Schoenwetter Schallplatten
I swear I can hear the Neusiedler See on every Garish album. With the German singing and the instrumentation always slightly blasmusikkapelleninfluenced, the band never hides their roots. Esteban’s, the side project of Garish member Christoph ‘Boff’ Jarmer, on the other hand, could pass as Scandinavian just as much as as Pannonian.
Preservation is the album’s veritable earworm, a little more energetic and a little less anxious than the rest of the new Esteban’s tracks. The album title IR (= In Rebellion) means a personal kind of rebellion, but really everyone should be able to identify with this song’s chorus.
