HVOB - Dogs

What is now HVOB (Her Voice Over Boys) was formerly parts of Herbstrock, an - um - indie rock band with German and (thus?) slightly cheesy lyrics. How convenient that HVOB have romantic connections to one very influential Pratersauna owner and that is basically, so the spin says, how they ended up on Stil vor Talent, a well-known Berlin based techno/house label.

Can you tell that I am not convinced that the hype around them is justified? Of course, HVOB have got style and talent. I just find it all a little flat and gefällig. But then again isn’t that the definition of pop?
