Luise Pop, Black Cat
Black is my favourite colour, black is the coat you’re wearing
We called him “the vampire”. We didn’t know his real name, but he happened to be in one of our lectures and made it very, very hard to pay attention to whatever it was about. Vampire was very pale, had gorgeously messy blonde hair and dressed in black only. Once, as if to complete the Edward Cullen / Eric Northman crossover look, he even drank red juice. (Fairly sure it wasn’t really blood. Nevertheless, there was a lot of girly giggling and excited SMS writing.)
If you’ve read on until now despite all the creepy obsessing about a total stranger, congratulations! You’ve made it to the part where Luise Pop comes in.
Because sometime during that semester, the band (still a trio then) played a gig with their new drummer, and yours truly went to see them. The gig was great, but do you know who was there as well and subsequently distracted my attention away from it? You’ve guessed it: Vampire. He also has a great taste in music! Isn’t he just perfect!
That is why I cannot wait until Luise Pop go on tour with their new album. It’s still going to take ages – the album will be released early in 2012 – but I definitely look forward to it already. Obviously because I’m a fan of Luise Pop. Obviously, I’m also a fan of Mr. Vampire. And, because all the cool kids go to Luise Pop gigs, I suspect he might be there again as well. And then maybe, just maybe, I will be on the prawl like Luise Pop’s Black Cat, or fall prey to Vampire, and then he will bite me and we can be a less sparkly and a (much) less frigid version of Bella and Edward.
