As announced at the Popfest Wien press conference in June, the Popfest 2012 has been the last one curated by Robert Rotifer. To keep the Popfest fresh, from now on it will be curated by a different person every year - in 2013 it will be Patrick Pulsinger.

The 2013 Popfest starts on July 25th on Karlsplatz and we’re already looking forward to it and are curious as to how the change in curatorship will be reflected in the program.

This is wonderful in many ways. Woodpigeon and a choir led by members of POP:SCH perform a song with a great title and introduced with the words, “This next song is a song about all of us on a boat, and the boat hits an iceberg, and we realize, ‘Scheiße, this is it’. And it’s all going down, but instead of panicking we’re all looking at each other, and we say, ‘You’re really attractive. And you’re really attractive. I wish I’d kissed you.’”
